Players at Byron Bingo in Hucknall, Nottingham got a taste of celebrity bingo in the making when actor Rupert Everett dropped in for a few games of bingo. The actor was in the town filming a Channel 4 documentary called The Scandalous Adventures of Lord Byron, which chronicles the life and times of famous poet Lord Byron.

Filming of the documentary has taken place across England and Europe, shooting a range of places where the poet spent stages of his life. Some of the footage includes palaces and monuments, as well as churches, a shop on Yorke Street called Byron Fabrics and the Byron Bingo hall, where Rupert enjoyed a few games of bingo as he chatted to locals about Lord Byron’s life. Any movie or television fan would agree, a celebrity visit to your local bingo hall is almost as exciting as taking home the jackpot!
