Since it’s the festive season, we here at Bingo Gringo thought it would be a good time to remind all of our loyal players about the gift that keeps on giving. That’s right folks, our Loyalty Point system is still in full swing. If you haven’t actually been informed of the system or merely need a quick recap, then here’s how it works:

You earn LP’s according to your activity on the Bingo Gringo site, which means almost everything you do on our online bingo website will result in Loyalty Points! How cool is that? Here is a quick rundown of the points system:

Referring a friend: 5,000 points

5p card purchases: 1 point per card

10p card purchases: 1 point per card

25p card purchases: 2 points per card

50p card purchases: 5 points per card

£1 card purchases: 10 points per card

Chat Games: Between 1,000 to 5,000 points per games

Solo Tournaments: 90,000 points given away each month

Team Bingo: 3,000,000 points given away each month

Every 1000 LP’s you earn is worth the equivalent of £1. Unfortunately, your Loyalty Points are not redeemable for cash as such, but you can use it to play whichever Bingo Gringo game you prefer.

Between the 25th Dec 2008 and 5th Jan 2009, Santa will be giving away £300 in loyalty points. But how do I take part in these winnings? Nothing could be more simple. On each of the twelve days of Christmas, Santa will deposit £5 in points into random accounts of five lucky players who have played an instant game, or bingo the day before.

Spending time with your friends has never been this fun, or lucrative! Now you can put your team-player skills to good use and rake up some festive bingo points by joining up with 3 of your favourite online bingo buddies to aim for the grand Team Bingo prize of 1 Million LPS (that’s £1000).

Simply pick up to three of your favourite bingo mates, pick a team name and send it, along with the username of each player, to teambingo@bingomanager.net. Some popping good fun!

The year is speeding to an end and here at Bingo Gringo we’ve decided that our loyal players deserve an end-of-year treat. Bingo on the ‘R’ and ‘H’ patterns this week and you will be entered into a lucky draw and stand the chance of winning a night of lavish extravagance at the elegant Rookery Hall Hotel in Nantwich, Cheshire.

The winner will spend the evening of the 31st of December in extravagant lodgings, bidding 2008 farewell and celebrating the New Year in style! Book in the afternoon of the 31st and relax before the celebrations, then venture down to the entertainment area for champagne and canapés at 7pm that will be followed by a fine dining experience bar none. After languishing in the culinary delights prepared by an award-winning chef and his entourage, round off the meal with coffee and fudge.

The Gala Ball will be attended by a live band ‘Slingback’ that will provide the music as you dance the evening away.

And all you have to do to qualify for this sumptuous treat is play bingo on the ‘R’ and ‘H’ pattern this week, easy as pie. The winner will be notified on the 19th of December 2008 so they can arrange transportation.

Drink up!

Used to describe a period of time during which restaurants/bars offer specials on alcoholic drinks, the term “Happy Hour” very first saw the light of day in the 1920. Back then it referred to on-ship entertainment that was provided for the United States Navy. Later, during the prohibition era, American citizens would partake in ‘cocktail hours’ at less-than-legal drinking establishments before scooting their proper Presbyterian behinds off to dinner at more ‘seemly’ restaurants, where alcohol obviously was not on the menu.

Today, Happy Hour is a time for junior to midlevel professionals to get to together after work for a quick drink and a chat.
